  • Celebrating or Consoling?

Ok, here is a question that struck me before while waiting to pay for my cans of (non-german for once) lager at my local shop in preperation for the big game this afternoon.

If England beat the Germans once I have lost my voice from shouting in celebration I will no doubt strike up a celebratory cigar.

However, if we lose (noooooooo!!!!) after I have lost my voice from shouting in grief I will no doubt light a cigar to consol myself.

So my thought is, both senarios would require a quality cigar for different reasons, but should my choice be the same or different for the opposite outcomes?

i'm eyeing up a Siglo VI if they win and a random NC if they loose. If they win i want to smoke a nice cigar and it will be my first Siglo VI. If they loose i'll still be in the mood for smoking but wont be in the mood to appreciate a nice cigar.

I think that a medium quality cigar if England wins and a high quality cigar if England loses. Why? A loss for England is far more significant than a win, as a loss means we are out of the game, full-stop! If we win then we simply progress to the next round, thats it!

Now if England wins the World Cup...? Perhaps the ?85 cigar stick may not be so bad after all...

Listening to Exile On Main Street - very loud - and chomping a Bolivar Royal Corona.

Second division sex, but still uplifting.

Still have the last hardback tucked away in my book cabinet! Its been so long I may have to read the entire series again before undertaking the final story.

Looks like the team went with a box of unknown cubans after the match or as the sun would put it big fat CIGARS!!!!!!!!!!

I love it how the Sun capitalise the word cigar, how dare the team relax after a match whether they won or lost. I love the picture in the link highlighting where the bottle of beers are and a lit, yes i said lit, cigars are lol.
