    hey all,
had my first cuaba salamone last night!!! lasted over 2 hrs, had it with a big bottle of leffe blonde beer, couple of glasses of shiraz and a couple of tullymore dew irish whiskeys!!! had a couple of blocks of turf burning out the back, some nice 'rustic' food, great company & conversation...........

now, about the cigar!!!! it looked and smelled lovely, felt great to the touch!!! it burned fantastic, tasted great, plenty of smoke!!!! taste ways, 1st third tasted quite nutty, with lovely earthy, woody flavours coming through!!! 2nd third saw the introduction of, what i can only describe as vegetal like flavours, with hints of some more earthy nutty notes (perhaps more mushroomy??) .....the last third all the flavours seemed to amplify!!!! btw, it burned perfect all the way through, never went out at all (i left it down for a couple of minutes, didn't seem to bother it!!!

a fantastic medium bodied cigar, for any who haven't tackled it, don't be intimidated by it's size!!! a pleasant, big cigar, perfect for a lazy summer evening!!!!

    easy a 92/ 93 for me.........

    all the best,

    alex

ps: sorry this was a quick review.........

Nice review and sounds like a totally idyllic evening. I particularly liked the sound of the peat fire.

                Herf at yours soon?

I know. That list just keeps on growing!

                        lol, cheers guys.........

firstly, patrickspark, i may have made it sound a little OTT!!! lol, it was more like a big bottle of leffe blonde beer, 2 or 3 glasses of shiraz and maybe 3 snifters of tullymore dew!!! no need for painkillers ere (i'd be laughed right outta the docks if this was the case)!

nicwing, cheers!!! it was an idyllic evening, very 'civilized' indeed!!! i'd love to have a herf here at mine, god knows i got the room for it, though, don't reckon the missus will be too keen on it!! lol

to everyone else who showed interest in reading my little review, all i can say is: BUY THE SALAMONES, you won't be disappointed!
