Not bad at all. This has to be the cheapest cigar that I have actually enjoyed smoking. A beautiful skin of chocolate brown oily gloss, and wonderful thickness and overall size. Ash was pleasingly white (lasting just over an inch), though started off toothy, and did become rather uneven with some light touch-ups required.

As for taste? Started off very strong, peppery, spicy, and fruity, but surprisingly mellowed into a strong Americano with some cream and spice. The draw became easier towards the halfway point, with a subsequent increase in the amount of pale smoke produced. The end was certainly the highlight! It just turned into a flavourful nutty, roasted expresso, creamy smoothness surprise!

For me this stick had the initial strength of a Monte 2 for the first quarter, and the roasted kick of a Mag 48 towards the final third. This cigar looks a bit like a pint of Guinness particularly with its arctic white ash, dark smooth wrapper, with a wondrous tasty surprise towards the final few inches. Good things certainly do come to those who wait.

I'm glad you got to try one and liked it. I didn't get the pepper that you experienced, but that could be due to years of abusing my taste buds .

Full flavoured and smooth, just how i like em!

I have now tried one, not to my taste, maybe my second will be more enjoyable.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Though this review pertained to my first one, the second stick was a little different. Yes it did have a much more even burn to it, with the first two-thirds having more or less same taste and experience as the first cigar. Sadly the final 1/3 tasted rather bitter, leathery and pungent. I will of course be trying out more of these sticks to get a wider feel of this brand.

Moving 1 to a dry box and let it set for a day then burn it. I sort of like the taste with it being a little dryer and find the pungentness almost orgasmic.
I smoke them at 65-70% and 60- 65 enjoy them at both humidity levels. The Leather and oak are part of the profile of this cigar but dry boxing seems to mellow them out a bit.
