No, just a sad day on another forum that reminded me of the challenges of owning/running a successful forum.

Delicate things indeed. I suppose this is why democracies tend to build so many labyrinthine bureaucracies to let the steam out here and there without blowing their tops!

I think we've got some good moderators on this forum that keep things on an even keel. If things get too heavy or venturing into contentious waters then we're told in no uncertain terms. Let's keep it up and remain friends.
Life's too short and there's enough bullshit out in the world without wrecking our little corner of it.
                  Ahem, sorry. Lecture over.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

What an interesting read (albeit the first page) and concept. To think that a chap sets up an internet based forum and feels pressured enough to pass it on. Bizarre, but in many ways the antithesis of selfishness.

Nice to hear some positive remarks about the mods collective chaps. Thank you

I know that both Monkey and Robusto are or have in the past been on Forums that have descended into name calling and general unpleasantness.

This was the first forum I joined and is the only one I post on today. I enjoy it here and I like the people I meet. Deano sets the standard for us Mods and that is generally tough but keeps things on the straight and narrow (except for that bloody Mexicant).

I have been a member of a number of forums in the past but admit I have put more post to this one in less than a year than all of the other put together I think. I don't post loads as I often feel that it is only worth posting if there is something worth posting. I really enjoy this forum and feel that it is a positive experience and on the whole a very friendly place to share my experiences. I just want to say long may it continue...
