    Tupac,

I grew up in Costa Rica as a kid and have since been back there doing some work for the US Embassy.

It is a wonderful country to visit both because of the people and the countryside. The "Ticos" as they are called are very friendly and will help you any way they can. If you are into nature you cant go wrong with the many rain forest tours or the great beaches on the west coast.

Please cont me at usafmajor@gmail for more specifics on names and places. It really depends on what tpe of a visit you are interested in.

    Cheers,

    DB

The Dec to Feb time fram is considered their dry season (Summer) due to the proximity to the equator. This is a good time to go.

The canopy tours are a great way to see some amazing sights within and above the rain forests. I have included a couple of links for you to look at. There are the places I have gone and had a great time. The hotel close to the Arenal volcano was amazing. At night you can watch lava glow and run down from the top of the volcano. You are surrounded by tons of wild life. The canopy tour itself is very easy to do...no experience necessary.
Theres ample opportunity to go for a swim at Arenal Paraiso Resort and Spa, this Arenal hotel has 14 spring fed pools Bonus Sizes and temperatures vary

See a part of the forest usually reserved for researchers Go on an Arenal, Costa Rica canopy tour and explore the treetops Beginners welcome

If you are a diver or like good beaches I would recommend goint to Manuel Antonio on Costa Ricas west cost.

In fact if your time is limited you can do it all at this beach/region...You won't be disappointed...They even have a nude beach for your wild side...Just don't burn yourself with your ash

          Hope this helps,
