PICTURES TOMORROW AFTER WORK..i promise

Today i made a trip into manchester with the mrs for a look round and to price up humi sticks and after speaking to the chap in Selfridges gave me a sizable cedar box with a latch etc from Charatan Churchills.
After opening and closing a few times..the box has a nice 'whoosh' sound, a cedar tray and reasonably thick walls (20-30 milli) So with a humi stick from Sean and a nice hygrometer..should work well after being seasoned correct?

Onto the sticks!
After never trying some NC before i thought id dive right in. Eying up the CAO sopranos box on the shelf was a great tease..but after much searching i found a CAO brazilian (petit corona size) for ?4.99 and CAO anniversary maduro for ?7...PERFECT!

Smell - well the brazillian has the typical smell with a nice aroma of dark woods and stronger coffee. it was the maduro anniversary that surprised me and the mrs! Upon smelling this chap, was surprised by the sweet, appetising whiff and told the gf to sniff too. "...mmmm" she says...think ive found her current fav

I have a box very similar. I reckon it should work as long as it's kept closed. As r0lan6 says though, in a few weeks you'll laugh at how you thought it would be adequate.

Look into a tupperdor when you fill that up.

I agree with other members here. Indeed that is a very nice box & I'm a sucker for the visual appeal but I'd be buying a real humidor. From experience that one would last about 2 days before it reached capacity here. LOL.

ANYWHO! yeah the box will just do till i get to my uni flat in around october..then ill be buying a nice 50 or so humi.

eggo - so far ive had a couple monties, villager, RyJ and a bolivar. just waiting to build up the pallette before submitting a worthy review.

i know i have two little welcome packages heading my way now lol might have to take out the tray to allow for more room and smoke one at the weekend if i find the time..theres an RyJ that has swelled a little at the cut end...think its getting excited about it possibly being the chosen smoke?

Looking good, looks like you should be able to get 24 stogies squeezed into that bad boy. If you have too many it is just the tobacco gods way of saying smoke more, get a bigger humidor or both lol. Current humidity on the south coast is 72% so you shouldn't have problem storing your cigars at the moment. To speed up seasoning you can always seal the humidor in a plastic bag as it looks small enough.
