I was lucky enough to be gifted a few of these recently after all the hype on the forum...and oh boy was I impressed!

I am not a Tat fan boy and have not rated any of the previous ones I have tried (reserva, red tube and a few others) anything better than OK.

when I lit this up I wasn't expecting much and after the first few draws I was right, it started off crap. a horrible flavour almost plastic like ...nothing short of foul. I always give a cigar a chance but this was pushing my limits.

However Just as I passed the first inch (its a short robusto) the flavours completely changed into nothing less than amazing. Sweet caramel with a decent amount of spice.

I am hoping that the first inch was a one off with its foulness and hopefully the next few wont suffer from the same start. Even if they do the rest of the cigar was great and I guess I will appreciate it more for having to trudge through the start.

    ratings:

appearance/ construction - 10/10 - very dark wrapper, matt in appearance and flawless construction

Burn - 9/10 - a touch up here and there but nothing major

Taste - 9/10 - started shitty and then great

Overall 9/10 - If you can get your hands on these don't hesitate to pull the trigger.

Very nice review mayne.........wasn't too impressed myself by it. Was good but not great IMO. Will give it another go sometime soon. Kinda had opus X flavours to me. And I never gave it time to rest.......like 2 days max.

I found the one i had from Shuckins a while ago to be a little peppery, did you not find pepper kam? or was that mixed in with your spices do you think?

Yes Mr Egg pepper was intended in the spice description, however I didn't find it overpowering. I'm not too keen on overly spicey gars like boli or opus x and this was no where near those in terms of pepper and much more palatable as a result.

Hey I started all the chat about this on here, I have been trying to track them down but with sod all luck, please let me know!!!!
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
