Is anyone else having problems replying to private messages, or replying to responses to your messages?

I am - I type (quite lengthy) replies, press "Submit" and they disapear into the ether. I was lucky last night in that I was able to retract my message by pressing the back button, but not so lucky today. The only way I can reply is to start a new message.

Any ideas on what the problem might be & how to remedy it? BTW I was using Firefox on my home computer last night & IE here on my office comp -if that's of any relevance, and I've still got 200+ of my ration of 500 saved messages .

PS I'm also having smelling problems - but can't change the typo in the title

We had a series of glitches similar to yours Eugene a wee while back. Tbh, I think they were associated with wider issues the site was experiencing. I'm not technically involved, but perhaps you could PM Deano, or contact admin and raise this with them, if no-one comes back on here.

Perhaps it might be worth copying PMs prior to trying to send them in the eventuality they go pfffff!

    Sorry I'm not much help.

I've started doing this for all lengthy replies (PM or otherwise), as I've been having a couple of issues with internet connection...

Unfortunately, not overly helpful (as you say) as it doesn't solve the problem. Assuming there is one (apart from computers being their usual annoying selves).

Yes I copy them now too. apparently my replies have actually been getting through, just not appearing in my "Sent" box.

I think the best bte is to transfer any long-running correspondence on to standard email.
