Just bough a macbook pro. Imo over priced but I love OSX.

People stating that macs are faster is untrue, they use exactly the same hardware as PCs these days, and there's no difference in terms of specs.

From one font nazi to another i think the font needs to be between the first bold yet busy looking font (because of the texture used) and the second thinner font.

Something like below in my preference order (top to bottom)

No offense taken, always appreciate a bit of constructive criticism, I've often gone Photoshop blind after a 8-10 hour session.
I'll have to pack up the Mac now as leaving for sunnier climes at 5am Sat morning, will be back on-line in about 8 days, I'll drop a new thread then with the header and people can chip in with ideas critiques et al.

Or if someone wouldn't mind posting a thread so that Deano et al gets a look at the roughs, feel free to include the links to my Flickr page, or email davidruddell@gmail.com.

I'll be picking up mails on an irregular basis while on holiday.

With the best respect.. Looks good but don't do a 'take' on a cohiba label! There's enough trouble educating people about fakes, it just feels wrong to use something like that.

And a little concerned about copyright, it's not as though it doesn't look and feel like the Cohiba logo!

All suggestions welcome, love the forum, just hated the forum header.

Must go pack, leaving in 4 and a bit hours, so need some shut eye.

If someone would be so kind to start a new thread (the mac thing is a bit misleading, seeing where this has gone) I'll try and pick up whilst we're away.

Personally I love the second attempt, I'm hoping we shouldn't be too concerned about the Cohiba-esque label?

It should also say UK Cigar Forums instead of just UK Cigar Forum.

I don't think there are any significant IP issues. I think Cohiba have far more concerns with the endless use of their brand on non-official merchandise and sticks.

It would be good to have something original though...

Just a thought ...why not try a few other variants on the same theme (label colours etc.... silver may well work well instead of yellow, perhaps stripes instead of dots etc). But I do really like it though
