  • NC Burning Issue....

Ok, I really need to know why everytime I light up one of my NC cigars I always have burning issues??

The issue is the wrapper, of which starts to burn all over the place and also starts to un-ravel?

I have had four different makes of NC's over the last few days and all are top draw cigars.

All my cigars are kept at 69% so whats is going on? The CC's burn fine?

    All advise welcome...

Your subconscious is sabotaging your NCs lol. I've had a few wrapper problems with NC and CC and put it down to them being hand made products. I find the most consistent and nicest construction of all my NCs to be Cains. Had one yesterday and i think one over the weekend, perfect burn every time.

A serious answer? Your Hygro may be out. Most any NC that has been rested a few weeks after delivery will smoke fine at 69%. If you are confidant that the hygro is accurate then I dont know what to say. I keep my NC's at 65-67 and have NEVER had one unwrap. Maybe the supplier shipped them really wet and they didnt get time to settle. Hmmm, this is rare with NC's.

My God! I was serious? Damn!
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

Well i have to admit ive never had a CC unravel on me, but i have had several NCs do it.. Its not something ive really considered though as i smoke more NCs than CCs so i guess if i smoked equal amounts it might work out the same.

I dont know what the answers are for it. I have 2 desktops, one i keep at 65RH and one at 70 and all i do is separate light and dark sticks. I have read on many occasion about CC and NC being stored at different temps but i mostly ignore it, as it doesnt make that much difference to me, beside which; life expectancy of any cigar in my house is errrmm limited!!

Hurumph! I refuse to dignify your question with a response other than...

Why are you wasting your time on (cough-cough) NCs? I've seen your lousy humidor and it ain't that big!

It's like trying to herd a pack of cats getting the Coros ready for a trip to the second attention.

Dunno CoFour, I only get 'em after a Vinderloo. Dipping the ends in a Raita might help!

If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Try dry boxing a couple and see if your luck changes .

Now thats a good question there Cohiba. I all the years of smoking cigars I may have had ? 2 unravel or split ! Sounds like a humidity problem. Either that or your wifie is punishing U .
