  • Off to Cheddar Gorge and Cardiff

On Monday i'm off with the Mrs to Cheddar Gorge http://www.cheddarvillage.co.uk/ for a bit of sight seeing and of course some cheese http://www.cheddargorgecheeseco.co.uk/ mmmmmmm, then off to Cardiff for some more sight seeing and the Doctor Who exhibition http://www.doctorwhoexhibitions.com/

I've googled and found 2 cigar shops to browse while in Cardiff if i get the chance.

Tobacconist & Confectioner at Central Market, Cardiff, Glamorgan, CF10 1AU, UK and Bear Shop - Lewis Darbey & Co at 12-14 Wyndham Arcade
    Cardiff CF10 1FJ http://www.cigarsofcuba.co.uk/.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good places to pop into to browse. Not desperate to buy anything as i will be taking a few cigars in case i get the opportunity to smoke although it is looking doubtful.

I've used the Bear Shop when I've been herfing in Cardiff. A pretty reasonable selection to have a gander at - three cabinets of Cubans and one with NCs. Plus, of course, there is the bear itself.

Dave and I usually use the terrace at this hostel as the venue for our herfing. Great view across the river to the rugby stadiums, and there are often a few people rowing along the river too.

Shopping in Cardiff is easy, the new st davids 2 is at the end of the arcade where the bear shop is. The cigars in house of fraser are in shocking condition. Plenty of places to eat down in the bay where torchwood hq was set.

Will report back fully. Didn't find any time to look at cigar shops yesterday in Bristol. However the weather was hot and sunny for the gorge although it was ?17 per adult to visit the caves and as we had already seen them we decided to spend ?40 on cheese and ?20 on cider mmmmm.

Found the Bear shop which is hidden away in a little arcade. Nice selection of cigars and plenty of cubans. One of the nicest cigar shops I've been in so far. Nice collection of pipes, tobacco and shaving stuff as well. Usual cigar shop prices, no bargains to be had.

Pic is my view as I enjoy a pint in the sun mmmm

Just thought I'd rub it in. Beer at lunchtime always tastes better during the working week I find.
