Okay after 1 hour and 15 minutes, here is my take on one of the Soprano sticks:

Appearance: Beautifully dark maduro wrapper with a nice double banding, and an oily gloss sheen with a few veins.

The initial aroma was very spicy and rich with a nice dry draw to it.

1st 1/3 = Definitely full bodied with an initial burst of black peppers and spice, with some floral/fruity undertones that dries the mouth with hints of leather. Strength is certainly strong that hits the palette head on, evaporating all moisture, replacing it with a coating of succulent spicy peppers.

2nd 1/3 = Spicy flavours intensifying, staying with you long after the puff, solidifying its aroma into the palette, coating the mouth with its dark rich peppery cedar roast. A heavy sprinkling of fruity floral tones of dried wildflowers and fermented berries, progressing into a cul de sac of nutty spice and leather, enveloped by a rich medium smoke and a pleasant respectable draw.

The aroma of roasted nuts and tobacco adds wonders to the overall taste and experience. Definitely the strength of a double expresso, and certainly one requiring a stomach filled with food! The stick was packed full of tobacco yet the draw was not at all difficult, with the cigar remaining hard and firm even onto the final 1/3!

As for the ash? Wow! An arctic marble white extravaganza rivalling that of the Montecristo number 2! So smooth that one can see hairline cracks finely embedded into its solid coating. The ash may have only lasted about half an inch, but its beautifully chiselled smooth elegance more than compensates! A slow burner and razor sharp burn.

Overall a relatively small stick with flavours intensifying as you progress into a convoluted punch of tobacco that certainly gives you that nicotine buzz in the morning! A wonderful experience from a stick that is becoming harder to find as time passes...

Sounds like familar notes to me Nice review.

Not a smoke I bother re-loooking at though, over priced with Sopranos Marketing... better sticks for the $ IMO.

Thanks mate. Ironically these babies cost half that of what I usually pay for a non-premium Cuban.
