  • Back from Florida

Well guys im back from my "holiday" in Florida. Technically i was a taxi driver (a 15 seater taxi) for 2 weeks, and clocked up 1200 miles. I didnt get to do half the things i had planned before the inlaws decided to come, not being able to meet up with George really pissed me off, but i made the most of what i could.

I managed to sit down and smoke a few cigars with the guys at Sosa Cigars while the rest of them shopped at downtown Disney. Great guys in there , and i smoked my fair share of fresh rolled ones, this is a quick picture of the last i brought home (not a great pic)

I managed to pick up enough in Sosa to smoke a couple everyday around the pool.

I went to Corona Cigars Sand lake store twice in the 2 weeks, shared a cigar with a local gent who persuaded me to buy a box of the stores own label.

20 Double Robustos for $50 is a bargain in my eyes lol, and he said they were pretty good.

Corona was amazing , they had the largest cigar in the World on display in the foyer, i was gutted i wasnt allowed to photograph any of the cigars in the store, but they did say they would email photos from the art department for me to use on here. So onto the cigars. I decided to go mainly for higher end cigars this time, i knew i could only bring back around 50 and wanted to get the best i could. I started with these tubos

An Ashton, an Avo, couple of Rockys , a Fuente etc. The empty tube was a Romeo y Julieta that was great.

This shot is an overview of the singles i bought.

Starting with these we have Gran Habano 5, Camacho Triple Maduro, couple of Cain F's, Pepin Black Label, liga privada 9, E P Carillo short run, a couple of Nestor Miranda special selections, and a Cao Maduro tubo. At the top is a 2006 God of Fire Churchill.

After the Cao Tubo we have the new Aurora 107, which are a limited supply to b&ms only and one of my favourites, the Perdomo Lot 23 but in the new Gordito size, 4 x 60.

In this one we have the Jamie Garcia reserva especials, and one of the New Patel Brothers cigars. We also have a couple of the G.A.R 60rg box presses.

After the G.A.R s we have a Tatuaje Reserva, a Room 101 (which is huge) and an RyJ Habana Reserve.

I picked the Cao America Sampler as a souvenir, the cigars do look great though.

I also picked up a nice Rocky Patel dual torch lighter, for $50 i couldnt say no.

And thats about it, we had the best house we have ever had, best weather we have ever had , and i had a great time with my kids and wife (though my son hit 6ft 3 while away and i never heard the end of how hes taller than me now)

Now coming back to work was another story, the place has gone down the toilet since i went away and it will be a huge struggle to pull it out again.

Good to be back though, i missed all you guys.

      The Missing NuB.

      Welcome Back, senor NuB!

Looks like you made quite a haul while abroad! Especially, the God of Fire! The '06 God of Fire by Carlito is a Coro favorite, along with the '05s.

Here's what was said about the one you bought:

"Of the three Carlito 2006 sizes, the Churchill offers the most intense flavor. Its taste has far more in common with the Pyramide than with the Double Robusto. Grassy, herbal notes predominate, accompanied by the savory, smoky flavor of food cooked outdoors—not unlike a grilled ahi tuna steak paired with arugula. The aroma is as fresh as a summer afternoon."

Umm! Now the Camacho Triple Maduro is another story. I'm told it's a real ass-kicker So beware!

      Enjoy your bounty!

Yes, this filled the bottom couple of drawers on one of them, and the box filled one of the desktops. I really need to sort out a 3000ct cabinet eventually.

Welcome back--looks like the trip was worth it, despite the taxi service. We expect full reviews of every stick pronto.

                    Welcome back Lee.
Nothing Nub related? How'd you manage that?
