  • Nub Sungrown?

Bought a couple of these from JJ Fox, and hadn't actually noticed the difference until my first box of Habano's arrived today.

Habano's have much darker wrappers, and there is no mention of Sungrown on the Nub website.

    I'm utterly confused.

    Lee?

Yes the Sungrown became Habana Not sure why its referred to as Sungrown, but some of the retailers refer to them as Sungrown Habanas

Yes word Sungrown too closely associated with Connecticut most likely cause.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

            Maduro,

I'm in the garden at the mo (god bless wireless) burning my fingers on the last remnants of a 464T Habano, bloody lovely.

Also got a Diesel Unlimited torp in the pack, nice reviews of that too.

Thanks to your Nub evangilism, I'm hooked.

Paid ?12.63 each in JJ Fox, for 2 Sungrown 464T while I was waiting for my package to arrive. it's all your fault Lee.

Well thats what I told the wife.

                Ahhhhh....... nutz to it!

Up until now, I've been quite happily sailing along, serene and contented, despite having never smoked any of these bloody 'Nub' thingies (Never had the urge, always thought they looked a little... well... stumpy and peculiar).

However, I confess, it's becoming a bit of an issue for me, starting to 'get under my skin' so-to-speak.
Why? Because every time I 'log in' these days all I see is: 'Nub this' and 'Nub that'.

It's driving me crazy I tells ya!

So, despite my better judgement (I can't help it.... I'm suspicious of you 'Nub lovers' - you just haven't met the right 'Cuban' yet), I intend to seek out one or two and give them the 'El Cat' taste-drive.

                Will post back when I:
                a) Find some
                b) Smoke some
                c) Have made my mind up on whether all the fuss is warranted

You'd better not be pulling my plonker about how good these things are!
(I'm lookin' at you Lee Nub!).

I think that it basically comes down to the problem with the name Habano. In the US they can get away with it as it comes from Cuban seed. In Europe Habano refers to puro Cuban cigars.

You'll find that the Nub Habano and Nub Sungrown are exactly the same just with different bands due to legislation
