  • I attended a Funeral today.

I sadly had a funeral today. Was a friend of mine who was only twenty and had cancer since she was 15. There were a good 200 folk there and was glad to get home from the wake and pub.

Its incredible what a cigar can do when you've been looking forward to it all day.

How many times has a cigar changed your mind set ?

    Mark ?

Sorry for your loss. I always smoke my very best puro after the loss of a close friend or family member! Helps to relax and reflect.

          Thanks guys.

I find it incredible how much a cigar can alter your mood. Its definetly food for thought.

My condolences--that is much too early to reach the end of life. I agree that a cigar can do much to change a mood--for me, it's a way of slowing down, taking stock, and thus being able to reenter the flow of everyday reality and such with a less harried and more even way of seeing it.

              My condolences.

There's nothing like coming home after a long, long day at work and sitting down with a nice cigar and a drink. It totally puts you in relaxation mode.

                My condolences.

I had a cigar the night of my Gran's funeral. It made for a very quiet, reflective and personal moment.

I concur with all the above. There's nothing like a good cigar for contemplation.

Condolences on your loss, Mark. I've just realised that as I get older, I'm going to far more funerals than weddings......

Terrible thing, to attend the funeral of someone so young. So sorry to hear about it, my condolences.

It's strange, particularly in these 'fast-paced' times, how the act of smoking a cigar creates an opportunity to slow down, spend time 'in the moment' and just generally think.
Therapeutic in my opinion and a good way to reflect on life and how transient it can be.

My sincere condolences, I think Cat put it very succinctly,

Nothing gives me more solace, then a slowly smoked stick.
If I've had a tough day with our son (He's both autistic & has cerebral palsy) nothing makes the world right like a black coffee and a long indulgent smoke.

Sort of feels like the world has been reset back to 'good'.

Thanks for all the thoughts gents.

I agree with everything everyone has said.
Especially with El Catador regarding the therapeutic side of it.
David, I think a black coffee and a dominico petit caro nm a would be a good call at the moment.

                        Thanks again chaps
