  • Sky TV problems

Anyone else suffering from problems with their Sky (with Anytime) since yesterday. Sky apparently did a software upgrade and now we have total lock-up if trying to access Anytime or using Live pause. Seems I am not the only one suffering.

I just rang them, everytime i click onto anytime it knocks the box off. They said they are working on a solution, just hope it doesnt mean a box wipe.

Yup ...a shocker that they could update software without testing it on a box!

Can you imagine if their entire customer base is going to have to wipe their drives, at least they have admitted there is a problem.

Don't use Anytime. However, coincidentally, just realised that Sky have been charging me for an internet connection for six months (six months ago I changed to BT and Sky 'cancelled' my broadband). ?75...

See theres tou problem right there gents...

          T'is an obvious diagnostic report.
          Sky.

It amazes me how they cant test software on a 'virtual box', (plug voice) Also a great bit of kit for a multitude of Operating systems for people wanting to destroy other O.S's without destroying there own

Mine has been ok, though ive had pixelation problems in rescent heavy rainfall , so if every time it rains it plays up i'll go cable.
A tip guys- you probably have already done this - i havnt sky breakdown cover but when a fault occurs i tell them to shove it, last time they fitted a new dish and the latest HD box free of charge, 5 weeks later i tried to cancel and now have 6 months half price, now i can buy some quality smokes with that. Happy days

                  Great stuff snooky

We tried that when we had sky a few months ago, we obviously got a guy who was having a bad day and simply said something along the lines of '' ok, sorry about that, we appreciate having your custom''

lol so were now with virgin and quite happy TBH.

Mines fine too, but I guess I better not reboot it just in case.
