A herf without leaving your armchair... ?

Right, ok, the lot of you are probably thinking that is one lazy son of a, well, very lazy family but THAT'S NOT THE CASE !

Ever heard of or use Skype ?
Well its basically FREE video calling and as far as i believe, you can have 'conference' calls, only up to 4 at i time I'm guessing though.

I think this would be a great idea for those of us who can't travel at our leisure and maybe just one off herf's every now and again, or frequently, depending what the thoughts are.

I know it seems very modern and silly, less social human interaction and society being the way it is etc etc but i kinda think its a neat idea IMHO.

What do you guys think ?

I've always liked the idea. Have briefly done this with SeanP and Rokkitsci. Good to stay in touch with friends who are on the other side of the world or even just the M25.

Not sure how many you can have max on audio at once but I think the video conferencing is still in beta. Would be happy to try this out?

Don't think conference calling is free - AFAIK only 1:1 calling is free.

Its always been free when we do it. As long as its skype to skype.

As far as i can see, it is possible to have as many folkl as you want, providing your bandwith will live up to it.

Currently skype doesnt currently support video for conferences only audio for 3 or more people. So I can quite happily continue to sit there in my pink leather gimp suit with the zip up mouth piece and tube for cigar smoking and non one can see me.

There are alternatives for video conferencing that are free. I'll look into this when I am on a pc.
