  • Are cigar smokers also cigarrette smokers?

    Hi Guys

I was just wondering, what majority of cigar smokers are also cigarrette smokers?

I dont smoke cigarrettes, i have tried them a few times and to be honest i dont really enjoy smoking them. I find they give me a headache and also roughen up my throat but i guess that is down to having to inhale cigarrette smoke.

I also enjoy having shisha socially but again i wouldnt say that im addicted to it.

Anyone here also the same, only cigar smokers?

    regards
    Mo

Never smoked a cigarette in my life and never intend to. For me smoking a cigar is about pleasure rather than feeding a dirty habit, or maybe that is what an addict would say lol.

I used to smoke (15-20 a day) started in my late 20's, finished on my 40th Birthday, haven't touched one for 5 years come Oct 23rd.

Horrible things, dreadful smell and taste, even when you smoke good cigarettes (American Spirit et al) full of nasty additives and chems. Switched to roll ups for the last few years.

Used to smoke 'other' things too

Cigars only. No cigarettes .... or other things!

I must be the only one then. Cigarettes for focus and concentration, cigars for relaxation, and coffee for both.

Never have. Probably never will. There's nothing about a cigarette that I find remotely appealing. But that's me.

I have smoked cigarettes on occasions but not very often, smoked a pipe for a few months but one bowl a day was starting to turn into 2 so I stopped.
I have always tried to keep things under control so I decide when I want to smoke and not the cigar (nicotine)!

I tried, I will never again. Tastes HORRIBLE and cigarettes are only smoked to fuel the addiction (I never got addicted), only premium cigars for me, and I HATE IT when people group cigars and cigarettes in the same bag, it just isn't, full stop.

                      Gotta agree with you HH.
I smoked for a couple of years as a teen.
Not since, except for the occasional 'jazz' cigarette.

I tried smoking cigarettes as a teenager but never enjoyed it enough to take it up.

As others have said its only done to feed a habit.

started cigarettes at 13 and smoked full time until 25,heavily into jazz for that period too.after quitting i found myself smoking a pack everytime i had a drink just out of habit not even gaining any enjoyment whatsoever.I had my first cuban when my second daughter was born this yr and havent touched a cigarette since.I now really cherish smoke breaks and my lungs have never felt better.Oh and i cant stand jazz anymore either

I smoked cigarettes for many years and then decided to kick them completely. Cigars, in many ways, provided an excellent alternative so that I still have the pleasure of smoking, which I love, without the nastier aspects of it, depending on your point of view with regard to the smell of cigar smoke.
