  • Trinidad BP Belicoso ? Maduro

    Trinidad BP Belicosos ? Maduro
    Size: 6 1/8 x 52 ? Belicoso
    Wrapper: Maduro Connecticut Broardleaf
    Binder: Nicaragua
    Filler: Nicaragua
    Smoke time: 1hour 35mins

This cigar is from a 6 x set gifted by Shucks. There are two types Maduro and Natural and the set came with a Cigar Savor Torch Lighter which although I now use it all the time, I?m terified of because it?s so powerful that in daylight I can hardly see the flame.

Appearance and Construction: Manley. Rough, oily, un-even, slightly bumpy almost branch like dark mottled maduro.

Flavour: Ignition met with a strong, very moreish blast of sour citrus mixed with chocolate. I wont dwell on the flavours of the first two third too much other than to say the most prominant was like tasting a soft, muted, smokey version of Schwepps Bitter Lemon and absolutly delicious. The final third was even more rewarding becoming richer and more leathery with hints of sweet chutney, dessicated coconut, honey and a bonus pepperyness just towards the end. I would consider this a mild cigar for most of the smoke with the strength picking-up to medium during the last third.

Draw and Burn: A bit tight initially, but nothing a little molestation with a BBQ squewer didn?t sort out . A little un-even over the first two thirds, but seem to find it?s way well enough for the final run-in. The ash, although not as white as some NC?s stayed compact and well behaved throughout the smoke.

Overall: A very pleasant afternoon?s smoke. Getting to know this stogie is time well spent IMHO.

To keep Cat from nagging I've done a few during pics and yes I do cover my little ashtray with foil ? 'cos it makes cleaning away a lot easier.

You're supposed to smoke it - not eat it!

Great work on the pics 'Arf.

      As for the tin foil?
You sure it's not left over from your last crack pipe session?
Anyhow, you know what they say. . . cleanliness is next to Godliness!

I did say they were moreish .... missed-out on 'good enough to eat'.
        Note to self: Remember expression

Godliness? No just a good way of disguising a cheap little ashtray!

Nice review, never had a NC Trinidad, love their "Are you man enough" advertising in the US!

Does the tin foil stop aliens communicating with your ashtray?
