  • Ugh.

Apparently Glee is bigger than the Beatles!

Cast of TV show breaks Fab Four's record for most singles in US top 100 by a non-solo act

I have no words to describe my feelings on this matter...

Small consolation, no one will remember the cast of Glee in 40 years time but the Beatles still will be.

And so it goes. Kids of a new generation will buy stuff aimed at them. The "Glee" thing will disappear soon and the Beatles stuff will just keep selling. Will it still have outsold the Beatles in five years time?

I have no idea what Glee is therefore it does not exist. The a Beatles record remains!

la la la I'm not listening!

Crlsis, please dont tar is all with the same brush ! Lol
I think Glee has some good qualities, if you read the plot for the first es it tries to tackle big priblems within our society. Cant bloosy stand it for the most part, id rather have a smoke, listen to Bowie and read a good book tbh, but like I said, some good qualities there.

Point taken about the possible merits of the plot and such, but it makes no dent in the argument regarding musical worth.

I would say this, on the other hand: I'm not sure that the charts are a good place to find musical greatness. In many respects, I think the Beatles exhibit an anomalous combination of massive popularity, obvious brilliance, and transformative innovation.

Nonetheless, I concur--Bowie and a good book top most alternatives, assuming there is a cigar involved, and possibly some bourbon.
