Just counting down the days now, until I go Skiing for my Stag doooo!!

So sitting outside with a Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 (another cigar sent by Larrysputnik) and really enjoying it...

Think I might have to get a box of these very, very tasty cigars!!

Oh nice. I'm off to one in March. Was meant to be Newcastle, now Bournemouth. Whole day of paint balling booked in

      Montecristo Petit Edmundo for me.

Must say it's probably evolving to be my favourite cigar. Perfect size that the smoke doesn't take hours (and meaning I don't nearly faint from the nicotine), but gauge and taste is perfect for me.

Deano. I agree totally. It's a beautiful cigar, and I walked round with a Petit Edmundo in London this week. I shall be smoking more of those.

I'm brewing up a pot of Assam and going down to my smoke shack with a Bolivar Robusto. It might even be warm enough here today to smoke at the table outdoors.

Then it's dinner with ex-smokers tonight in Sandwich.

I shall light up when I get home afterwards.

I sat and enjoyed a wonderful Cohiba Maduro No5 this afternoon. I shall certainly be purchasing some more of these cigars.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

          The Dawg.

Gents, I find it interesting that so many of you who have legal access to fine Habanas are enjoying so many different NCs. I must say, however, that I too have smoked most of the same N/C cigars mentioned here, and keep a few aging in my humidor (actually, they're consuming too much valuable real estate and squeezing out my Habanas.)

Try the Davidoff Millennium series sometime, I think you may enjoy it. Also, the Punch Rare Corojo Rothchild (N/C) is an excellent cigar for around 20 pesos a stick (that's $2 in US, a little less in Brit currency). It comes around only once a year in boxes of 50, so some of you would have to build bigger humidors.

To my friend in Mexico, may I suggest the Te-amo Vintage 99 - a gem of a stick and the best Mexican stogie I have tried - always a welcome guest in my humidor. Hard to find these days, however, but I have seen them in a few shops in Cabo San Lucas.

I am starting off the day with my one of my favorite morning puros - The most excellent Bolivar Bonito. I discovered this beauty in Venice several years ago and have been hooked every since. Nothing goes better with a morning cup of joe then one of these. Why don't you pick one up and smoke it sometime. -script from an old White Owl cigar commercial which aired back in the day when Habanas were legal in Larry's State of Reality

                Cheers, Amigos.

Let me add, mates, that I have tried several fomats of the Rare Corojo and found the Rothchild to be excellent and and the only format of this brand worthy of my precious smoking moments; the others were just so-so, IMO, and ended up being passed out to non-aficianados.

                      But that's just me.

I wish I knew more about NCs but I've grown up with Havanas through reading British guidebooks which are, understandably, centred on Havanas. I've smoked a few regal ones through members of our forum, but I've smoked some really dull grey ones, too. I think that's why I play safe and stick with Cuban favourites as buying NCs is risky (IMHO) because of my hit and miss experiences. It's only through swaps etc with the men on here that I've smoked any NCs at all! I remember recommendations too, TJ, so please keep on making them.

Will do, Robusto. I will compile a list, albeit, a small list, of n/cs I beleive worthy of smoking. But for the record, I smoke Habanas exclusively. I have many N/Cs piled up in my humidor but, rarely, rarely waste my precious smoking time on them. There are a few, however, but only a few, that are comprable to the finest Habanas and I treat them with the same respect as the Cohiba Sublime EL 04 and the Piramide EL 06.

If I am able to make it to the walk in April, I will bring some N/Cs for fellow walkers to try.

God Bless Habana and keep her safe from the evil empire to the north. - Unknown
