Seen this mentioned a few times on the forum and I'm off to London in a bit....few questions:
Can you take your own, or do you have to buy theirs...like wine
Do you have to book a table or can you just truck on up
Is it all posh and upmarket or will I fit in in jeans?

    You can take your own.

I've never seen it busy enough to require table booking (special events aside, of course).

Depends what you're wearing with your jeans. It is a 5* hotel, but has a bit of the nouveau riche about it.

A mega death t shirt and bandana won't do then??......good!

A whiff of noveau richce...I can carry that off! I checked the prices, a bit like wine, you expect a mark up.....think the courtesy route would be a good one.

        Thanks for the replies

I think if you take your own you have a minimum spend of ?25 so just bear this in mind when planning this trip.

That's roughly half a pint of coke in there...

Not that I'm sure (last time I actually bought a drink in there someone else paid, as I found out when I went to pay - I have my suspicions about who it was too).

Just had a look at their website and it looks very nice and cosey !

However I was reading a few reviews, from here:

Some not so great reviews regarding value for money, however, I suppose if you, frequent these places, im sure you would grumble lol.
Would love to go for an afternoon smoke though

I wasn't aware of the minimum spend, but I haven't been there for 3 months or so.Do you know if this is a newly introduced policy?

As for Tripadvisor - some of those reviews! Can there really be such a thing as a lift that only goes up (Newton, eat your heart out!)?

I could be wrong but I'm seem to remember seeing it in the menu they hand out when deciding on drinks/food/cigars and this applies only when you bring your own cigars. I also think this is per group so if there is more than one of you this should not be an issue.
