So Halloween is just round the corner, i don't have any kids but Mrs Jibjob brought a pumpkin home and it has got me into the festive spirit. Not going to cut into the pumpkin until about 2 days before as I'm told it will rot but this is what i have planned.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Going to hollow it out and then put a candle in it, maybe make a soup with the innards or something lol. First Halloween in the house so not sure how many kid will be bothering us this year, might have to nip to a supermarket for the big tub of cheap sickly sweets and let the dog go crazy in the hallway to scare a few away.

Might have to escape to the back garden with a stogie with my new best orange friend.

So what are you all doing this year?

Yeh gotta do the same. I see Sainsburys have them for ?3.

Already bought all the goodies for any kids who come round - but also already ate a 1/3 of them myself lol

Ah, the joys of living in a fifth floor apartment. (Also means I can make blaz? comments about rising sea levels despite living in a coastal city... )

Your pumpkin monster is missing one thing though... you need to draw on a big fat stogie! (With a little hole at the end of it, so the glow from the candle inside looks like the glow of a cigar.

I'm not a hollowe'en fan myself - I'm too busy looking ahead to my birthday two days after usually.

Well I'm in a similar situation, first halloween in our new house I think there are quite a few families nearby but no idea how many visitors we will get. I don't know how much to give them or even what to give them?!

I think I managed to talk my wife into making a pumpkin pie so that means I get to have fun making a lantern as well, not done that in years.

An old mate of mine in the states Ray Villafane won the Food Network challenge one year for his pumpking carving. Unreal work (hes a sculptor)

He sculpts unreal models, this was a sideline for him. He gets companies asking him each year to sculpt reception pumpkins .

Hate it, dont agree with it.

Agreed Boss but giving out a few sweets is the lesser evil verses having your house egged or car tires slashed as tricks!!!!!!

Don't mind the young kids who are brought round with their parents who clearly have put an effort in but it is the young teenagers that normally look like goths that demand money or they will put your windows through that I object too. Sign of the times I'm afraid.

                      Hahaha brilliant

Saying that most kids these days are armed with both anyway (stereotyping )

Hey, don't mince your words Boss. Say what you mean!

I think he might just have to join me in a Nub with a nice glass of scotch
