  • A top weekend!

Over the weekend my better half treated me to a weekend in London for a birthday treat, and what a cracking day saturday was.

Firstly she took me to Proud Galleries in Chelsea where there was an exhibition of photos of Bob Dylan from the early 1960's - fascinating for a Dylan fan such as myself, and amazing to see how different the world looked a mere 50 years or so ago.

Next stop was the famous 10 Manchester Street cigar terrace, where I enjoyed a Siglo VI that I've been saving for such an occasion. An excellent place for a smoke and superb service I thought, attentive but not over fussy. But the drinks prices!!!!!

Even better was my girlfriend enjoyed a RyJ Petit Julieta so much in the cosy warmth, she is now considering the benefits of a smoking room indoors over the winter

Finally we headed over to the Southbank Centre to see these guys:

Something a bit different, a bit weird, but highly entertaining!! If you enjoy a good spaghetti western like me it's well worth catching their show.

Bob Dylan, a fine cigar and spaghetti westerns - perfect!!

The show looks great, have a feew Morricone soundtracks on CD myself.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Fantastic stuff, nothing beats a quality weekend with a top quality smoke.

Best part of it all you may be getting an indoor smoking room

They put on a really good show - my girlfriend can't stand spaghetti westerns (they are 'man-films' I guess!) and she loved it.

Lots of little acted out scenes between tunes making sound effects with weird and wonderful things - cornflakes packets, lettuces, sellotape, anything and everything really!!!
