Watched it on Monday and was very pleased with it. I love the comic to bits so was a bit anxious to see how it went. But let's face it....Darabont's a comic-geek, horror-freak genius so what could go wrong
Anyone know how many episodes/seasons are in the pipeline?

AFAIK they are planning an ongoing show, with no definite end in sight, much like the graphic novel. I have it ready to watch, but I've agreed to watch it with my mate, so I need to sit on it for at least another week
I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray

Mark - there are some amazing comics out there and there's a whole load of shite too so I understand you not wanting to risk your cash.

My favourite by a mile is V For Vendetta. Still excellent after nearly 30 years (the film didn't do it justice btw)
Other crackers are The Dark Knight Returns, Batman:Year One, The Watchmen, Sin City, Miracleman, Give Me Liberty and that's just for starters. Most of these exist as graphic novels and can bought on eBay for a few quid.

Fair enough comment on v for vendetta but I hope you liked the F/X, I was on the team that did them and I was pretty happy with the result.
(just defending my proffesional ego )

Corto - I LOVED the style and look of the film but was dissapointed with it overall. "V" ended up sounding like Mr Bean FFS!

I thought it was a very under-rated movie. So well done from me!!

I'm only two episodes in and I'm equally impressed.

Been watching it with my 16 year old son and he's a big fan too.

I didn't read the comic, but I'm excited to not to have to wait years for zombie movies now!!!!

They have been doing a great job on this show.

Did any of guys see the zombie TV series called "Dead Set"?

The survivors were holed up in the Big Brother house.

It was pretty good and I think it's available on Youtube through 4oddrama.
