  • 2010 Breeder's Cup, Zenyatta's Quest for Perfection

    Anyone else following the 2010 Breeder's Cup? The big story has been Zenyatta's "quest for perfection"; if she wins the classic tomorrow she'll be the first modern horse to retire at 20 wins, zero losses.

    But today's big news has been the fight between jockey's Calvin Borel and Javier Catellano. this came after the first race of the day!

    Can't smoke in bars in Michigan anymore, otherwise the races tonight might call for a visit to the local sports bar for a couple cold ones and a stogie.

    No expert.

    Only follow the British side of things TBH Andy, and even at that I am certainly no expert on the subject at all; although i do enjoy a good day out at the races now and again with friends.

    Hope you have a few $$ on the horse and that it wins mate.

      I'm a huge racing fan and very excited for tonight. I'm not a big betting man but I've marked my favourites down and they would be as follows;

      Utely(e/w) in juvenile turf, Uncle Mo (win) in juvenile dirt, Paco Boy (e/w) in turf mile, Gayego (e/w) In dirt mile, Debussy (e/w) in the turf, and of course Zenyatta (win) in the classic.

      Here's to some great finishes & to a once in a lifetime mare!

        Have to admit to being a fair weather racing follower. Well, I suppose it's the exact opposite really - being from Cheltenham, the Festival is pretty much my yearly dose of racing, and it always seems to be bloody freezing...

            Devastated to say the least! I feel an ego maniac jockey may be at fault.

            She's still a super star in my eyes, the ground she (Zenyatta) made up was phenomenal.

              What he said! A heck of a race, no matter what.
