Just wondered what you folk have started to ahem suggest as possible Christmas presents for yourselves.

Cigar-related and/or other interests.

I started today with my wife.

A box set of The Godfather films.
Because I have never seen any of these films and I really don't know why...

Also I was led to a big store's perfume counter and shown - and made to sniff - a fragrance from Hermes called 'l'orange verte' as a suggestion for my missus. I clocked that, then walked my wife over to the Armani men's corner and indicated my preferred two.

Tit for pong tat.

I quite like a nice aftershave or a bodyshot of going-out whiff and Armani will do for me. I read that Eric Clapton splashes Armani on with the suits and I didn't know whether I should stick to this brand or not.

I am very nearly out of my current aftershave and I use it very sparingly but it also happens to be from Hermes and has now been discontinued.

I have lined up Terre d'Hermes as it's replacement, get your honk around it before you finalise your list for santa. Deep and earthy.

PS will set up a web site so we never wear it in the same place on the same night, that would be a disaster!

It's basically a docking station for an iPhone or iPod. Totally different design to the Bose or B&W Zeppelin.

No I didn't. And yes it's not un-usual for me. I'm a mere 160 pounds at 5'9. I used to be 18 stone when I was 15, but I lost the weight (8 stone). But I still possess colossal eating skills.

Christmas day is going to be judgement day.
