Small folding telly won't cooperate!

OK guys, have a good laugh,
I'm proficient with Autocad, Solidworks & many CAD Dwg packages - I can even use email - just!
But - can anyone tell me how to (easily) re-size pictures for posting on the forum? The 'file to large' prompt is almost resident on my screen!

Just tried picresize.com- it crops pictures...anyway of resizing the resolution without losing the edge to edge content? Turn it into a avatar thingy???

I upload my pics to this site http://www.tinypic.com and I set it to resize for message board. Then it spits back several tags to embed with, I just cut-n-paste the one for message boards.

Nice free site...lets you stash pics in albums and such.
The site also strips out all the EXIF tags so that people can't track you using the embedded GPS location on most pictures taken with devices with active GPS.

If you use iphoto or similar photo management software you can just export the pictures and choose the size you want them to be i.e. max 600 pixels etc

i use photoshop but if you dont have that GIMP is a good open source free download
