Barcelona Score

Thanks to a year old posting from Gary, I was able to track down Gimeno's cigar shop in Barcelona this week. I was also brought down into their well stocked walk-in humidor. I could have spent hours down there poking around.
I decided on purchasing a 09 box of Punch Gran Robusto Espania Especiales.
Best part is that smoking is still allowed in restaurants...until Jan 11.

Good post , i plan to have a weekend in Barca soon, i wonder if the Spanish adhere to the ban as we do .

Is this a change to the existing ban they already have ? In Madrid they just ignore the ban and smoke away!

The current ban allows smoking but a place must be provided for the non-ers. Usually in the form of a walled off section.
This was that talk of most locations I went to, the upcoming ban. Unless they open up a private club (membership) there will be no smoking allowed. Cigar shops may continue to allow smoking to allow testing of their products.
Seems to look like it will be enforced by the signs I saw posted every where.

Hey USAFCigar, I'm glad my post/review of Barcelona helped you! It's a great store isn't it, I know what you mean about being able to spend hours down there!

I was very disappointed with the RA GR Espania's, for me it was just a nice big stick that did nothing.
