What is your favourite album of 2010?

For me it was Neil Young's Le Noise. Aurally it's quite the most extraordinary experience and proves that the old boy, and his chum Daniel Lanois, have still got it.

My car has a great sound system and the first time I listened to this at full volume and I was convinced that at the very least, my big end had gone.

    and yours?

Transcontinental Hustle - Gogol Bordello... a band playing hard and all produced by Rick Rubin. Sounds like energy!

Elton John and Leon Russell - The Union.

      A treasure trove.

Nas and Damian Marley - Distance Relatives. Fantastic mix of Rap and Reggae done with maturity without the materialism. All proceeds go to charity, so pick up a copy if you're interested.

Julian Lynch's 'Orange you Glad', a step backwards if you like. Mainly recorded on old 4 tracks with tapes. digital music sucks!

Im always behind when it comes to music. I cant seem to keep track of young stuff or stuff thats just come out. I'll have probably caught up with 2010s music by 2020. Like cigars, give em 10 years!
Having said that, this was beautiful straight out the box:

Well for me it's a toss up between Slash's self titled solo album and Black Country Communion.

Both have been played to death since buying them.

Caught up with the Jools Holland NY Show. Pretty lame, I thought, and why I stopped looking at that show for musical signposts quite a while back. I do, tho, like Plan B. I like the music. I like the small man swagger. And I do like that high voice. So Plan B comes in as a second favourite CD this year.

Very very mixed show this year.
Alison Moyet has lost it, Jules sidesmen are stock in trade, Bellowhead are great at a festival but stop start doesn't work, have to agree about Plan B, otherwise very underwhelming.
