  • Haycock hotel, Wansford.

This place has 4 outside covered area's, is close to the A1 and A47.

This place is very nice if the weather holds as it has no covered area, but sitting by the river with a cigar and a drink is rather pleasant.

Luncheon and a lazy summer afternoon in June or July spent Herfing and Quaffing is on my mind, anyone care to join me?.

    Very very civilized public house.

And, thanks to my 12 years driving from Barnet to Beverley I know it's exactly 1 hr from my house.

    Let me know when.

Both look very nice, and are not too many miles from me.

Let me know when and I shall do my best to attend

JLP - I could certainly be up for joining you... I head up to Rutland fairly often to windsurf (mainly when it's warm & windy!) and neither of these spots is a million miles out of my way!

I will go and have a chat with the manager of the Haycock and see which weekends are suitable vis a vis how busy they are and report back.

The Haycock would be a pretty easy place for me to get to if anyone fancies a herf?

Just lived up the road from the Haycock for many years, nice setting. Try to avoid weddings, parachute jumping & high tides

I was hoping to get this on the front burner for next month, unfortunately me dear old Mum (89 star old bird played a good innings) decided to go to the other place last week, so going to be busy the next few weekends supporting me Dad, I will be looking to a September date if anyone is still up for it.
