I'm off to Croatia at end of Apr for 10 days. There's a big offroad competition that I'm going to watch.
Is there anywhere to stock up down there? I'll be driving down but won't have time to stop off on the way there or n the way back. It a straight 2 day drive so looking at getting some stock when I'm in country.

If you are flying you may be best buying at duty free on the way out.

Won't be flying. Need a 4x4 to get around and see the competition. Looks like I'll be taking a few with me then

Surely it's worth a mini detour via somewhere like Zurich...?

Zurich sucks for cheap cigars, I think Geneva is the place to go.

I'd agree that Geneva looks the better bet for cheap 'gars but Geneva is more than a wee diversion... although I'm sure there are plenty of different route that can be taken.

Problem I have is I'm a passenger in the vehicle going and we are in convoy with 4 other vehicles. We have a hard schedule to get there. 2 X 12hr days of driving to get to the parc ferme of the event. Where the other cars will be competing. I'm just going for a jolly and a wee trip out.

As an aside just been to the outlaws for the day, their next door neighbour's son is visiting. He lives in Canada and visits every 12 weeks. So that might be a route for me to pursue

Mark my understanding is that Canada is not cheap for cigars

Ahh. Didn't realise that. I was hoping he could purchase from that side of the pond on my behalf. Perhaps not then.

Duty Free perhaps an option - dunno what the prices would be like coming out of the Canadian airports...
