  • Gibraltar cigar dinner?

Speaking to Albert and the staff at Stagnetto today and we are thinking fo setting up another cigar dinner/weekend in Gibraltar later this year, probably around mid to late October to allow plenty of time for booking and making arrangements.

Can anyone interested in attending, or at least getting some idea of details etc, please message me so I can get an idea of numbers for a UK contingent. This is because they are not only likely to have locals here in Gibraltar coming, they are also likely to get a number from the Spanish side as smoking in bars and restaurants is banned there now as well. Stagnettos are keen to keep this like our last one so numbers will be limited to 100 maximum. Great time to bring the wives/girlfriends along for the great duty free shopping, not to mention being able to grab some smokes for your own stash before the winter

Those who attended the last one will know what a great time was had by all and if you need details of what it's like out here ask Deano or some of the other guys who came along

Count me in, with any luck.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Check http://www.mygibraltar.co.uk/ it's usually ?225-250 for a single at the Elliot or Rock hotels, for 3 nights, B&B.

I see 13th-16th is: ? 302.98 Per Adult for Elliot
and Rock: ? 234.98 Per Adult

Date is now set as Friday 28th so let's get some serious smoking organised chaps. Asd Deano said the best site is mygibraltar.com and I always like The Rock Hotel as we had most of us there last time...more guys to herf and drink the weekend away with

CA - are there any cheaper options than staying on the rock itself? Or is it just not worth the hassle of staying across the border at La Linea?

What flights do you tend to use?

You can stay off the rock around La Linea but much easier to be on the rock as you may get stopped from taking too many duty free cigars off the rock and into Spain. If the dinner is on Friday night most of the guys last time flew in on Friday and out on Sunday and you can recouip a lot of the cost with the massive savings you will make on cigars, cigarettes, tobacco or booze
