    Petit Edmundo

Smoked as intended. Lit up in my car for the 14 mile journey home from work. Less than one inch smoked. The remainder savoured on my back doorstep with a big mug of Assam tea.

    Verdict - Absolutely beautiful!

Only my second ever. The first I smoked on the Cuban Cigar Walk with Nic last month. Just bought five through Deano. Thanks, mate.

I could write a love poem.

The smell on light-up in my car was intoxicating. The taste is strong from the start. I got lemon from it immediately and then a great peppery gum-stinging strong brew.

This is a 52, I think. It's a densely packed stick with striking leaf veins for the whole length. It's a fantastic pudgy cigar to brandish. It cheers me up to work it. It's like a friend. It's gone straight into my favourites.

I loved watching the smoke curl out of the cut end well after a toke. I used to watch my Dad smoking cigars as a very young boy and was always mesmerised by the smoke coming out of the ring punch hole.

I sat for a good 45 minutes this afternoon recalling great times spent with my Dad.

    I really love cigars, gentlemen.

    I'll shut up now.

Well said, never tried them before, but may invest in a couple in the near future

quality review there Robusto. Tres evocative Glad you like the PR. I actually prefer them a lot more to the regular edmundo. There's something in there like a flavour of sweet chocolate that only a Trini Reyes comes close to

Just wanted to add, chaps, that I like the smoke rising up the windscreen from your kingly stick when you drive. I was listening to a lot of 90s dance music so my rather banal journey was pepped up no end by the cigar warmth and the rhythm.

I don't smoke a lot in the car. When I do, it's usually night journeys.

I was really up for the smoking moment today.

I was keeping it in my gob at traffic lights and shit. I really like to be looked at sometimes. I love to show it off. To be frank, I find putting on a Cigar Show a fucking laugh. See the avatar.

Completely restorative after a mostly mundane day spent chasing imbeciles and the regimented clock.

What's more, I rather like to whiff of the Cuban seed like a rakish navvy at times.
Wide boy. Corrupt. Dodgy. Fly boy.

My wife's full of bugs so she couldn't tell.

Sounds lovely! Going on how much I enjoyed the D4 you sent me I shall have to investigate these. I indulged myself with a similar size just now. Sitting in the porch (joy...) with a Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto and a small splash of Maker's Mark. Was nice to clear the mind for a while after the hectic evening I've had.

What's anyone else's opinion on "regular" vs Petit Edmundo? I'm going to get one to try and can't decide between the two. I'm not fussed about fitting my cigars in around "the pace of modern life" and all that, so frankly I'm happy if it lasts 75 mins rather than 45. Does anyone else find that the two differ significantly in taste or is it mainly just the size?

                    Olls

I'm a fan of both. I think I like the concentration of taste in the shorter pudgy stick more, though.

I'm beginning to think I should investigate shorter cigars generally, but they will definitely have to be phat bastards.

                      Cheers Robusto.

Well, due to a combination of a) it being Friday and b) it being sunny, I've gone nuts and ordered one of each from The Main Man.

                      I will report back...

                        Thanks for asking!
Well, dress rehearsal was 'interesting' to say the least. Mostly technical cock-ups though but I'm sure it looked fine. It's certainly calmed me slightly about the next two performances. Or perhaps I've just realised I can only do my best and anything that goes wrong will be out of my hands...
