  • New arrival - Ardmore Traditional Cask

So then, my whisky collection expands (well stays the same really as I'm on a one in, one out phase at the moment)

Ardmore Traditional Cask (highland, 46%, NCF)

Bit of a bargain really as my local Sainsbury's had it marked as ?10 off therefore ?22.
Unusually for a highland this is peated so almost Islay like on the nose. Up front taste is plenty of smoke with a decent amount of peat mellowing to a sweeter finish with hint of caramel and oak, most agreeable if a little different to the usual highland fayre.

    7/10 would buy again.

Oooh I may give that a try as I'm an Islay fan myself

May I suggest trying the Signatory edition I.B Ardmore 1992 or 1999 most enjoyable to say the very least what what.

Might give this one a try if I can track a bottle down at that price.

On a massive side note, where did you get that glass from? A set of those would look lovely on my shelf!

                Beat me to it!

I bought mine from Royal Mile Whisky in Edinburgh - actually I bought two but one is now residing in the big whisky glass shelf in the sky thanks to my cats.............
