  • Where did your username come from?

So then, we have some very obvious usernames and some not so obvious usernames through to some downright obscure usernames.

I've been using "Superbrother" for years now, it was a song by Guitar Vader that was used on the original Japanese release of Jet Set Radio on the Sega Dreamcast http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_set_radio . I liked it, used it for a character name in other games like Phantasy Star Online and such and it kinda stuck.

    Where did you get yours?

Many many years ago I got it into my head that I could write a novel...I was doing really well. Flew past the first couple of chapters and then the brick wall came at me hard and without compassion. Anyway, to cut a long story short...the main character was called Jacob Waits.

    Great question by the way.

In '99 me and two friends decided to travel the world. The Internet was still in it's infancy and dial up was the order of the day. Rather than all three of us having to buy internet access along the way I set up a email account that we all shared under the guise of lads2000 we still use it to some capacity to this day. But I've found that it's easy to remember so has stuck. I tend to use it for a lot of forums these days.

I was working at a place with a few Andy's so they decided to call me Drew (a much more popular name in the states than here) to make things easier. The big boss fella was a cigar smoker too and decided to call me Drewmidor (as in humidor) but some of the interns didn't get it and used to write Drewmidorn on all the internal messages... long, convoluted and dull story! lol

While working as a 'hit man' for a Columbian drugs lord (before I became an international arms dealer), I used to be the 'smoke taster' for the boss.
Sampling his collection of fine puro's and looking for anything 'suspect.
(He was concerned that the DEA were trying to assassinate him, and had read about a plot to kill Castro with an exploding cigar).

Hence the moniker of 'Catador'... which is the name given to the quality control guys in the cigar factories.
                  Simples!

It's true. I've seen him do it if he gets cigar ash on his suit.

Oh yes, and it's my name! The Central Scrutinizer however is a Zappa character and if you have never come across him (sic) you should look him up -"shrink to me with a hair drier"

This is awesome! Do you ever feel the urge to dig out your novel and finish it off?

I have had mine for about 5 years. It is the name of my Tauren (cow) Druid in WoW. I chose Daize as a close resemblence to Daisy, which is the name of the cow that supposedly started the great Chicago fire.

Mine came from a friend of my wifes, I think her thought process was Steve Taylor>Staylor>Styler.

I did wonder if your title was Zappa related Nic
