  • 3 X 3

    Hi All,

I have just come accross a bunch of "3 X 3" Dominican cigars ( apparently made by Davidoff ???) which seem to be very good value. I have been looking for a while for a bunch of cigars I can hand out to friends coming round for a BBQ without the fear of discovering a Cohiba robusto barely lit and left in an ashtray outside and overnight ( I was NOT happy).

Have any of you guys tried these? ( either the Churchill or the Corona or, come to think of it, both as I might even get a few more myself if they are decent).

    Cheers.

Have the same problem with friends 'desperate' for a cigar but hardly touching it...I'm thinking of buying Jose Peidra for times like that...

I for one hav not tried them, bit I too have mates that think I should just dish out expensive cigars to them at BBQs due to the fact I have a few in the humi...

Luckily for me, I have Plenty of cheap and nasty NCs to palm off to them...

I tried the 3x3's some time ago, fairly mild and a pleasant enough smoke for the non afficianado.

I have a tubed Robusto in my humi from my last trip to Spain, I did have another at the time of purchase too and remember thinking it defintely needed to sit for a while, sadly I don't remember much else.

I was actually looking for Jose Piedra when I stumbled accross these. The only problem I have is that my humidor is quite small and I don't want to waste space with smokes I probably won't touch when I can gradually fill it up with proper Cubans. The good thing about the 3 X 3 is that they come in tubes so I can keep them in a draw somewhere.

Just get a tuppidor (tupperware), its what I use for the majority of my sticks, otherwise it would cost me thousands in humidors!

Yep. I know the feeling. Started with a cheap one (pretty good though seems airtight enough as I am having trouble keeping the moisture down to 70 actually) with enough space for 50 cigars or so thinking it'd be enough but , surprise surprise, it isn't and definitely can't accomodate 25 cheap smokes. Good idea to use a tuppidor but now you've given me the idea I could use it to store more cigars for me.....he he...

Damn. I think I might give those 3 x 3 a go. I'll let you guys know what I think of them.
