    Hello BOTL,
I'm going to Italy in a week... will visit Milan and Venice, already got a couple of suggestions for Milan, but nothing for Venezia - any nice cigar shops there?

There are a couple of stores around the Rialto Bridge which sell cuban cigars, but not a big selection at all. For Venice, better take some with you.

    But Milan, is another story.

Venice is supposed to be extremely expensive (cup of coffee ?10 etc..), I would guess that cigars would cost 4 x what they would in the UK. I think it has something to do with the fact that Venice is sinking/water levels are rising, so they are having to spend out billions on preventative measures.

I'm happy to report that this is not true
I have a list of restaurants/wine bars where locals go and where you can eat for 15-20 euros per person. Food is simple but delicious.

I haven't found a single cigar shop though. Not too disappointed, it gives me more time to enjoy this beautiful city.

I don't recall it being overly expensive when I was there several years ago. Wasn't the most friendly place I've been on that side of the pond, but that was no problem as long as I had my wonderful Bolivar Bonitas to keep me company! smiley-eatdrink013.gif

I found a cigar shop on the walk from the station heading towards St Marks (can't remember what it's called). It is on the right with a 'Tabaccheri' sign, They had some cigars in a humidified cabinet just inside the door. Didn't buy any as I had my own with me.

Walking around Venice as the sun goes down in the heat of a July evening is one of my best ever cigar moments so my advice is take your own and enjoy them.
