Aye Aye all.
Made a purchase of another Malt Whisky at the weekend, after reading the results of "The Whisky Magazine" Annual Awards.
The Whisky that caught my eye was the Bowmore Islay Single Malt "Tempest"
a 10yr Old Malt , First fill Bourbon Casks, 56% ?47.00

Winner of two catogaries ....Best Islay Malt and ?
The whisky's description sounded great to go with a Cigar.....Smokey, Sweet, Caramel and Peaty.

The Cigar I chose to go with the first Dram, was also a fairly recent purchase the, H Upmann Mag 46....(Feb 2010)

I poured the Dram and lifted it to the my nose... Mmmmmm .....Got the Medicinal / Peaty thing, Sweet Honey, Floral...The taste was Warm when it hit my tounge Caramel, Tea and Smokey Sweet a very long finish to it, a fine Dram, cant wait for more...

Lit up the Mag, loads of smoke filled the mouth and seemed to linger for longer than normal....Possibly with the coat that the Tempest had left ?
Hints of Chocolate from the Mag, Coco Powder, Toasty.
