After my little rambling post and a martini i decide to hit the hay but my body things otherwise so now im up deciding on a nice martini variation to go with my sweetish cigars like perdomo champagne noir robustos or auto fuente chateau fuente robustos.

Now im thinking of something sweet and smooth but also sour and salty to balance the flavours and i think ive found the perfect gin tanqueray rangpur to be exact its meant to be like Beefeater 24 IMO but with more citrus flavour because of the limes instead of the grapefruit used in its production but i still think on it will be a little too acidic and strong so it overpowered the smoke so im thinking of the following.

A 2 1/2Oz gin dilution of tanqueray rangpur(1 1/2oz) and tanqueray No10 (1oz).
1/2Oz of dolin dry vermouth (nolly prats new recipe is awful)
Dash of orange bitters regans No5 is good but i use home made now.
Dash of lime bitters.

Stirred over ice and garnished with a salty olive as cucumber would be drowned and its got enough citrus a little bit of salt twang would prolly bring it all together.

For the bitters if you want to make your own theres plenty of recipes on the web go find one you like.

Yes i do think this ticks all the boxs the No10 gives it a nice sweetness the rangpur ticks the bitter and sour boxs a pair of salty olives gives it a subtle saltiness on the finish as the japs would say its umami or in other words has a good flavour.
