Motormadj, yep doing it just like normal, and pretty much smoking in cigar bars so yes inside. I've never been a slow smoker but have not had such consistant problems before.

Simian66, I can't see the Hygrometer to tell, mean Hamburg is a pretty moist place, I thought it could be a cause that could effect all of the stock.

Might go and have a talk with the owner tonight.

Do many of you "drybox" if that's the term, maybe it'll be worth it.

you could try dry boxing them it might, help but i think you should also mention it to the store keeper to see what he thinks about the humidity levels

i was having a problem with my cigars tunneling so reduced my humidity to about 65% and the problem wents away.

Going to have to agree...

Uneven burn as extreme as that is more often than not down to high moisture content...

My father used to keep his (singles) humidor at 72%-75% and used to suffer with this all the time...

Dropped it down to 68%-70% and problem solved...

May well be too moist, take a look at the shops humidity readings.

hmmm. Hard to know.
Are you doing all your usual practices? toast the foot [can help produce an even burn]
You look like you smoke inside, so they are no weather changes? ie high wind etc?
Are you smoking more quickly than usual?
Do the cigars feel too humidified> ie too soft/moist?

Hey all,

I'm having a bit of an issue at the moment with my local shop where I buy my sticks from in Hamburg, basically I sat down last night to enjoy a Hoya de Monterrey Especial and it did this:



Not at all good, in fact the last 4 or 5 cigars i've bought there (all different brands) apradt from a Monte Eagle have done exactly the same thing.

Is this down to their humidor being too humid? If so what's the solution?
