Great ideas here. I've been looking at the (relative) cost of Bovedas - they're convenient but not cheap. Recharging them now means more money for cigars
I don't think Boveda packs were intended to be "recharged," but some have reported success doing exactly what you are thinking about - Place a damp sponge along with the Boveda pack in a limited space (tupperware) for a few weeks.
I fully submerge mine for 24 hours then dry... so far, I can get them right back to new and once they have (what I call) released (evaporated water from the paper) - they read as they should!
I've never heard of that! I thought they were supposed to be kept dry. I like it though. Will try with s mini one.

I have mine in rotation too. I put a small tray of distilled water into a ziploc with the bovedas. Leaving the bag in a warm place soon gets the humidity up and the bags re-hydrated quite quickly.
Yes, they'll recharge no problem. I use a ramekin, like PeaJay, but with a soaked sponge in case there are any accidents. Mine take about ten to fourteen days to plump right up.
