Choosing cigars to smoke

What a list! that looks like it's cut n paste from a spreadsheet. No doubt a system developed over many years? I know someone who lives by the spreadsheet, i mean they have every penny spent (& much much more) tabled dating back to the advent of modern computing.

I have a very simple way of selecting my smoke. The cigars are spread across various humidors with a good (NC) better (CC) best (LE, RE etc.) type of arrangement. I don't light up unless i got all the time in the world. Luckily (depending how you look at it) I have very few commitments outside work.

I have a large rotation very rarely having the same cigar in a quarter, often only twice a year. Variety is the key for me, I never want to have a great cigar, then have another from the same box the next week & find the experience less than the first. Wait a month or two & then you can't directly compare so accurately & if you enjoyed the first you'll probably enjoy the second as well in it's own right. So just had a look at this yrs diary & I can't see any cigar I have had x3? Still might manage up to another 20 smokes before New Year. Any suggestions what I should go back to Wigan?

Take for instance i had a grand epi in the humidor and 5 times i brought it down south and not once i smoked it then all of a sudden on a normal sunday i was sat there smoking it which was totally unpredictable

Made me laugh. This is me too. I've tried to give myself a bit of direction with the Top 25 thing, so now I think about the next one on the list, read about it, find a few reviews, etc., but can still end up changing my mind.

I think a lot of us fall into this category, although I'll be making more of an effort to smoke my NC's as the only ones I smoked regularly were the CAO Gold I got for my birthday which are all gone now.

Jusr grab one and smoke it if it's a single NC. The beauty of Cubans though for me is because theres somewhat a more limited sellection I feel I can be more picky what I smoke.

Combination of things really. I smoke mostly in an evening so it often reflects what I've had to eat.

Otherwise the choice is made by available time and what I'm in the mood for.

I have a very small selection (compared to most) so just grab what I feel [emoji5]️ or sometimes if someone has posted on 'what are you smoking today' or a review of something I have then I'll go with that.

I choose it by size to fit the time slot, strength to fit time of day and what I've eaten and flavour by what I fancy.

That's true Peejay, but what I mean is more wasting a cigar cos the mood's not right - but on another day it may have been mega!
