Interesting thread. Funnily enough I was just working out the other day roughly how many I cigars I would need to have in stock now to be able stop buying.

    I reckoned 5000

Just behind RCH, but he gets to smoke more frequently so mine should last even longer. My p!an was to have sufficient aged stock not to have to buy any once I am retired, as I am sure I won't be able to afford any by then.

With next delivery I'll have around 200 , my plan is to keep buying taking five out of a box and forgetting about the rest into storage , I always buy some cheap N/c everyday smokes , my long term plan is to keep doing the same buying a box a month and when my first box which where Monte 2s is ten years old I'll stop buying them . That will give me a stored aged stock of 2000 cigars without the ones I'd of taken from each box and cheapies etc..... I'll be 58 btw so still enough time to enjoy them , fingers crossed

I also don't smoke more than six in a week even in summer with weekend smoking. Most weeks I'll have one or even none so mine will last a while.

This thread inspired me to take stock. 256 cigars atm

Current stock allows 21 months at the suggested rate.

Nope! I'll never stop collecting, plus I'm only a young whippersnapper at 43. I guess I'll have to start smoking more!
