Good call on all of those types and sizes. At a wedding there will always be people who like the idea, smoke a third of it then leave it lying in the ashtray because they didnt like it, it was too strong or it was too big for a first timer.

Nice touch to have something special for the best man/groomsmen.

If you're not doing it yourself, remember to have someone on hand to show them the correct way to cut and light.

While down at Turmaeus' lounge recently I sat next to a first timer who didn't have a clue where to start. I cut and lit his cigar for him and he proceeded in taking a huge couple of lungfulls of smoke, sucking through the cigar like it was a snorkel (and then looking a bit pale!)

Having been asked to get some cigars for both my neice's weddings is to get something everyone can enjoy and make them relatively short.

At most weddings you get a short time away from speaches, eating and drinking before the drunken dancing starts. Once everyone has had a few drinks they all think they want a cigar and light up, their better halves drag them off to dance and you can end up with literally hundreds of pounds of cigars lying in ashtrays.

For a wedding, and with the majority being non-cigar-smokers, I would suggest that the 'look' is every bit as important as the cigar.

These are less expensive than than the Cubans being suggested, but the brand kudos is just as great ? if not greater ? and the smoke and draw are totally reliable.

Big follower of the Monte 4 here but another stick I do enjoy and very nearly touches your original budget at ?10.99 is the Hoyo De Monterrey Petit Robusto.

For me ticks all your boxes. Lovely mild smoke, looks good and it's a pretty quick smoke as well.

Hi Ian. I have to say I find it unlikely that half of your guest will partake. In my experience it's usually a group of maybe three or four. Id plan for double that and maybe get six hdm Epi 2. You could always buy a couple of five packs of something really cheap like Jose L. Piedra Petit Cazadores as backup cigars should more people want to join in. I think I paid ?6 for five in Geneva, they can't cost much here.

also have a think about how much time you and your guests will have to smoke them, try to give as much information to who ever you buy from so they help you choice for example if you only have half an hour to enjoy the cigar it would be a shame to purchase a stick that would only be half smoked
