When and where do you smoke?

At home, usually in the garden, sometimes in the house but only special occassions/when I'm entertaining and outside isnt an option.

Always on holiday, I try to get down to the beach of an evening, the sound of crashing waves, a tropical breeze, under the stars with a siglo IV is about as good as it gets for me.

I smoked one last summer at the local beach & got so much negative attention I felt like a leper!

Hard for me as live in an apartment and don't have a garden to relax in and smoke a cigar. Nor is there any nice local pubs to sit outside and have a dabble

I don't smoke in the house though I live alone and don't have any kids, I don't want my house smelling of smoke. I have smoked the occasional cigar in my girlfriends parents.
Outside in the garden or on holiday are my main places so I tend to smoke very little over Winter unless on holiday somewhere.

Me too only down fall I find is the cigars don't burn evenly depending on the weather for example windy and damp.
So don't smoke much in the great outdoors anymore.

its also a pig if you have a long ash stack and have it in your mouth when you pull the trigger... dust everywhere!!

In the winter... I love smoking cigars while out shooting... quite social.
IN the warmer months... while on holidays, outside on a terrace etc with good drinks and good company.
Or at a BBQ, especially if there is a fire pit lit too. Sit back, decent drink, watch the flames enjoy good conversation with a good smoke.
Failing that I try to sneak on in at the sampling lounge of JJ Fox if I am passing!


Although I sparked up my pipe after nearly 20 years not smoking it the other day... eldest child (6) immediately upon seeing it giggled and asked.... "Daddy are you piping? why are you piping? is it fun?" to be followed by " is piping good for you?" ... to which I could only be honest...!

Never in the house.

Either warm, windless days out in the garden during the Spring/Summer.

Or in my garage during the winter (quite a rarity though).

I'm therefore a seasonal smoker.

At home (outside) during the week and sometimes at the beach during weekends, when I get a chance.

Never in the house as I have a 3 month old son.

At Home- Usually in the garage if the weather is poor. Sitting in the garden if weather is good.

At Work- I work in a town centre so I often go for lunch and a cigar in a cafe which has a roofed garden outside.

As a treat- down my local Casa del Habano which is about a mile from home.

Just curious how and where most of you smoke.

I'm just re-entering the collection fold but can see me accumulating far quicker than I consume. Having 2 very young kids and avoiding smoking in front of them leaves me very few opportunities to partake. Used to be on the golf course or when I travelled a lot but that doesn't happen so much right now. If I'm lucky, might get a quick 20-30 mins outside after everyone goes to sleep, weather permitting of course...

So when and where do you find the time?
