It is a shame about the Cuban embargo, as unlike Cigar Aficionado, this magazine lacks the full breadth of cigars for that well balanced objective read.
I agree with ROlan6, I subscribe to CA snd it is a much better read the Cigar Snob, But the pics aren't bad either!!!
I'm also a bit of a cigar advert fan. I like the adverts in CA (though sometimes think that there may be just a couple too many...) Maybe, now that we live in a tobacco advertising free country, it's the wanting what you can't have thing.
Come to think of it, would it even be legal for a UK produced cigar magazine to be published? You certainly wouldn't get any adverts to keep it going...
Had a quick look through the first 25 pages. 16 were advertising. Oh well, spose they have to pay the bills somehow but I'll give them credit for the eye candy.
Adverts are love/hate things. As a designer I love seeing how each company tries to sell it's brand/cigar via a single page. Although I agree you'd be disappointed if you bought a mag and it had no articles whatsoever.
