Should we be worried about your multiple boxes of them?

Generally within a box I’ll pick out the worst first, unless I’m celebrating something or it’s a special occasion / fancy something good then I’ll pick out one that looks good.

As far as boxes cabs wait, I try not to touch a box til I think it’s ready so normally oldest first once they’re ready to smoke. If of the same age I normally just grab whichever and then pick a smoke out of them. I don’t think I’ve ever compared boxes at the pointing of smoking only when first purchased.

I also have cracked younger boxes first as I always favour to keep the older and/or nicest box for later on.

So is this just me or do some of you proceed the same way?
This is me 100 %. No idea why I do it!

I don't have many double boxes, but so far its been whichever smells best, that's the one I start from. If there's not much in it, then yes uglies will get burned first!
That’s like having the good China on display 😂. When I had the wineador I was still in the finding out what was my favourite smoke so never had more than 1 box of the same cigar. Now I have my go 2 smokes which I would happily have 2 or 3 boxes

Now that's interesting because I tend to do the same. Also, if I have a cab and a or count box of the same cigar I go for the box first. I recently cracked a PUR FEB 17 box of Lusi even though I have a PUR ENE 16 cab. I like to let the good stuff sleep.
I do the same, the good stuff rests if I have a choice. Not sure there’s any science to it but I feel like darker and/or oilier cigars age better and can also disappoint young even when they look spectacular so they always get some time to sleep.

Like you if they have the same box code I burn the ugly ones first.

However when I have boxes from different years I tend to burn the youngest first. It might seem a bit strange at first but my rationale is if I have say a 1 and 3 year old box and I smoke the 3 first (let’s say over 2 years) I’m onto the next box by the time the 1 gets to 3 years so I’m always smoking the cigar in the same ballpark age wise. However if I smoke the 1 first then the 3 becomes 5 by the time I crack that and I’ve smoked the cigar at ages 1-3 from the first box and 5-7 from the second so I get a much better idea of my personal sweet spot. Obviously this only applies when I’m experimenting with age for a particular cigar and when I’ve narrowed down what I like I would adjust accordingly.

I like to keep the nice ones for later on as I think that it would be harder for me to sell a nice looking box than an ugly one. That way I will have mostly great looking boxes left for my old age, lol.
