[QUOTE=monkey66;125678]Didn't know you were talking about a box split (are you?).

    QUOTE]

No Mr Monkey, I'm certainly not! If I don't know the product, I wouldn't dream of that , I just can't afford to give them away if I don't like them & couldn't sell 'em if I thought they were no good...

I enjoyed the Open Eagle box I obtained 6 months back. I was going to hold them over to age a little but them little guys smoked fine fresh. For the price point, they can easily be a go-to shorter smoke.

Additionally to if they are any good there is always the issue of storage to consider whenever buying a box.

Hi guys, not trying to mislead, if it was just 1 stick I'd go for it but it's a box of 20, chap wants ?100 for them which is obviously a bargain if they're any good & if they're not, I wouldn't want to pass them on.

I think that by your description I would not be enamoured. For me light smokes need to be complex to hold my interest, still I should try one just to be in an educated position ...just find it hard to sacrifice valuable smoking opportunity for a stick I have low expectations of.

A good word for the Open Range

Just to add a little balance here, and admitting that I tend towards a lighter cigar, I have recently reappraised these and smoked some that I got at the launch over a year ago and I found them acceptable.

Consider that, as I understand it, they were supposed to be to be lighter for new smokers.

Having said that they don't have the complexity of a Trinidad but my experience is that they are improving with age and if you haven't tried one since the launch when they were very 'green' it may be worth trying one again. as I have said they before, they sell very poorly in the UK so there is no issue finding one with some age on it!

I had some in Cuba, because in one bar that's all they had, and they're not terrible. Just not that amazing either.
