This is actually looking like a pretty good option. Their prices don't look too bad, and some of their samplers are rather appealing to have a chance at some variety.

Failing that you could give the hotel de vin a call in Brighton? They had a semi fair collection last time I was there?

Or take the tube to Green Park, on the Victoria line (one stop). Then you have two shops on St James.
I use the Gatwick express every day, it's much more reliable than other trains (touch wood).

I've always found the service reliable. Don't bother queueing up at the ticket machines at Gatwick for the train. Buy your ticket on the train, it's no extra cost and can make the difference in getting the train or missing it, although it's only a 15 minute wait for the next one anyway. From Victoria, it's a 15 minute walk to St. James (less than 1 mile) if you want to avoid the underground.

A return ticket costs nearly ?32 though. Expense it!

That appears to be the closest of the shops I've found so far. Googling "South London cigars" has been rather fruitless

I'm afraid not mate. There is a small shop in Brighton, quite a distance, which used to have a good range - but no longer.

    Cigars around Gatwick area

    Hello all,

I'm going to be on a business trip over the weekend of the 27-29 of May, with my work being at Gatwick. Not positive of where I'll be staying, but I'm assuming somewhere in Crawley.

Is there anywhere in or near Crawley that I might find a decent selection of cigars? If I have the time to make the trip into London, I'll visit some of the tobacconists there, but I'd like to nail down somewhere a little closer to my temporary "home" in the event I don't have much time.

I've been told there are a few places in the airport itself that carry duty-free cigars, but I'd like to avoid the insane tourist prices if possible

    Thanks in advance!
Working...
